I can tell you that I had my PVP at the end of July and consider my
urination and frequency normal now and sleep thru the night with out getting
up.
As I recall, The burning and urgency lasted over a month. There is a drug
your doctor can gives you that helps you over this bad period. I can't
remember the name but it had a name like "something/CS" It changes the color
of your urine to a blue/green and the pain and urgency disappear.
The discomfort you experience and duration of said pain is a function of the
size of your prostate at time of surgery. Mine was world class at well over
150 grams so I hurt for a while. I think the return of elasticity of the
bladder is a function of your age and perhaps condition. I'm 64 years old
and in very good physical shape; it seems to have fully recovered for me. I
trust that you will soon recover fully. Part of the problem with urgency is
regaining the confidence that you CAN hold it. Good luck.
Dave
PS
I did suffer retro but this is also stating to show signs of recovery. It
feels normal but only a drop or two comes out. This is not a bad thing,
unless you are in the porn industry and need copious amount of ejaculate.

Perhaps the drug referred to is Prosed/DS which was recommended earlier by
someone in this group.
