I have a 75 years old friend in my neighborhood having no insurance.
Can anyone be kind enough to advise the cost of a Green Light laser
PVP procedure done on him in Houston
or anywhere in the US? Any help will be very thanked.
Is there any other therapy or medicine available for the BPH. He had a
TURP surgery done 3/4 years ago and he was ok for 3 years but the
problem now is he has difficulty in passing.
Thanks in anticipation.

Catherize yourself with a 12 or 16 french, if it's urine retention.
What's the prostate size?

How do you know it is BPH causing these new symptoms? A urologist
should examine him to do a diagnosis.
There are medicines that can help if it is BPH, and there are
certainly many therapies available. Again, your uro can advise. But
first, it is very important to have a diagnosis.
I have heard that a PVP is around $10-15,000.

I have heard of a private clinic that does it for a little over
$5000. It was said they used a local anesthesia. Maybe that is one
reason they are cheaper!
