Hello Again,

Boy, am I doing a lot of research! My next question is, how can I
access some kind of faq on foley catheters. Since my husband is not
going the drug route, but is waiting for the bladder to regain some
tone and elasticity before going for some kind of surgical procedure
to remove the blockage, we will be living with this in-dwelling
catheter for a little longer. How long can it stay in before it has to
be flushed out with saline solution? We have a lot of other questions
about the catheter, and how to imporve quality of life while it is in
place.

Many Thanks,

Leila

Yes, we are aware of the danger of infection. But so far so good. We
are being super clean about every aspect of the catheter. But I would
like some input about living with an indwelling catheter. That would
be helpful at this point.

Sincerely,

Leila
