Maximum non-cancerous PSA reading

This is just a point of information for inquiring minds.

I asked my uro what the highest PSA reading he ever saw that was NOT due
to cancer, prostatitis, or anything else other than BPH. He said about 20.

My latest reading was 8.4, but since I'm on Avodart, that reading must
be doubled to 16.8. Fortunately, all 12 biopsies were negative - this time.

My PSA was 26 before I went on Proscar. No prostatitis or cancer.
