Dear All:
I recently started taking Proscar and had absolutely no side effects
for around a month. Then I had the unfortunate problem of very nearly
failing to perform one morning... Now, it could have been the fact
that it was 4:30 in the morning, but I have had anxiety ever since.
My basic question is "If proscar is going to have side effects, how
long before they show up?" I also need to know if they are consistant
- I can do quite well around 70% of the time and still do OK the other
30% of the time. I don't like taking medicine daily and would like to
find some permanent solution - whatever that might be I don't know.

"Performing" is a great deal psychological. Your side effects were nil
until you thought that Proscar was the problem. I've been taking
Proscar (and generic equivalent) for years and don't see any side
effects except that I am about 10 years older than when I started
taking it. I'm not 16 anymore and unfortunately I can't blame that on
Proscar.

For me, 4:30 in the morning was when I stumbled into the bedroom after a
night out. It never worked for my at that time and I was in my 30s. :-)

After another week, I have to conclude that I am back to normal.
Maybe even a bit better as my ciprol has kicked in.
