It is now over 5 weeks since I had my turp operation.  The first 3 weeks
were quite a struggle but I have progressed rapidly during the last 2 and
feel back to normal now.  My urinary flow rate has improved immensely and
the frequency of urinary visits has reduced a great deal.
My wife and I are now thinking or resuming intercourse and I wonder if it is
safe to do so in the time scale after my op..  I am not sure whether to go
for it now or wait a while longer, I have no problem with erections and have
had now bleeding for the last 15 days.
Can anyone give me advice.
Thank you

If you have not done so, you might want to look at the website below.
If you get to the place FAQ, there is a section specifically dedicated
to your question.  Hope this is helpful.

I too had a turp. In 2005, thinking it would save my marriage, NOT.
I envy you in the area of erections (providing you're not on drugs and
able to achieve penetration)
the uro would not return my calls only the assistant would appease me
by telling me the hematuria an clotting will go away in spite of my
telling her that I do physical work, lifting, pulling up to 75 lbs.
Oh, he didn't charge me for the surgery, per other uros, he didn't do
a thorough job. So far, all the uros want to either do a TURP, Green
Light, or Prostatectomy. All tests only show BPH coming in at 67 grams
per TransREctalUltrasound.
Forward to today:
I've discontinued: Alcohol, meats, milk, eggs, coffee..
Do: cook and bake my own foods from scratch, take no drugs of any
kind, only focc.

I've still had three ER's and two hospital stays since for TURP with
CUR (chronic urinary retention)
The flaxseedoil enemas are making a positive effect but still I pee
blood and clot several times a month.
The V, and L only give me headaches, stuffed up nose, hangover.
Erections are disappointing. Also tried Panalt 300, cheaper, but same
effects.
Miss being inside a woman
Anyone with help turning around my situation?
Thanks
Ramón

Had first go end of week and all went well.  I was amazed that I could still
ejaculate as consutant had told me this would no longer be possible.

Thanks, Stewart, for your report.  I had PVP 7/04 and my first
ejaculation also was normal.  But after that first one, it became clear
that retro was the outcome of the PVP even though the URO said he was
going to do a "bladder neck sparing procedure" and he estimated chances
of retro to be only 20%.  He did make one cut in the bladder neck and
now I have retro 100% of the time.  I will be interested to see how
things go for you as you get further from the procedure.  Hope you keep
us informed.

Once more last night and even better than a week ago, probably because I
have regained confidence.  Again amazed to find ejaculation no bother.

Ramon,

Why have you not gone to see another doctor?  Something is wrong and
it needs to be fixed.

Best,

Bob
