Hi, I had prostrate infection and my PSA was shooting up again. It came down to 6 but as infection set in, doctor did not give me antibiotic but told me to drink lot of water. However, I started taking raw garlic to fight infection but that would irritate the wound and it would not go. Some one wrote on this Newsgroup to avoid chilly, garlic and hot food to stop irritation and it worked. PSA fell from 10.6 to 6.0 after six months and I hope in another six months, it should be normal or 4. I thought I put this information up for others. Also had enlarged prostate that was taken care of with a PVP. But infections kept coming back...antibiotics, would go away....repeat every few months. The NURSE suggested I take cranberry pill twice a day and see what happens. Almost 2 years now...NO INFECTIONS. Worked for me. Just had my semi annual PSA and PCA3 test completed and all is well again. In fact my PSA dropped considerably. Am a firm believer in the cranberry, sure worked for me.
