My guess was that it is iron (ferric) picrate. Although, I do not know how
reliable the source was, a Google search verified my conjecture.
I am no expert in explosives, but picric acid was, and still may be, used as
an explosive. Most metal salts of picric acid are highly sensitive
explosives. AFIK, homeopathic dilutions are so great, that there is no
active material left. Thus, you have less to worry about than if you used
real nitroglycerine tablets. While you do not have to worry that
nitroglycerine tablets will blow up, There is enough nitroglycerine in such
tablets to have very rapid and noticeable physiological effects.
Until proven otherwise, I take homeopathic cures to arise from the placebo
effec.
