I'm possibly going to have a TURP in the near future and I'm wondering what
they normally use for general anesthesia if that's what they decide to use.

Propofol via IV seems to be the drug of choice (at least in the state of
Maryland - USA).  It's great stuff, short acting, and no hangover.  It's
also used for things like EGD's and colonoscopies.  Don't know about other
countries.  Ask your uro, and he should be able to tell you...Pete
