One doctor advises giving up flomax in favour of avodart., the other one
says it is advisable to take them simultaneously. Who should I trust?
Is there any scientific evidence that herbal remedies are effective in
reducing prostate size compared with finasteride derivatives?

Reference the following web
site:http://www.uspharmacist.com/index.asp?page=ce/hyperplasia/default.htm
Combination Therapy seems to be the better choice. I have been on Avodart and
Flomax and am doing very well compared to Flomax alone
Good Luck

I also take Avodart with Flomax, but it seems to lessen the libido and
causes "retrograde" (inward ejaculation).

Am thinking of asking my Urologist to change from Flomax to something
else.

Does anyone else have this problem.

I'm 65 and in good health.

I take Avodart, Saw Palmetto and Hytrin, I also suffer with minimal or no
semen and my libido is diminished.
