I've tried Flomax and Uroxatrol. I notice slightly less lower back pain
and tiredness with Uroxatrol.  No difference in urinary symptoms at all.

Uroxatral is not a new drug. It was approved in the US in 2003 and had
already been in use for several years in Europe, although perhaps not
in the UK. Its big advantage is that, unlike Flomax, it allows you to
ejaculate and unlike the older alpha-1 blockers it doesn't require to
be titrated to the individual, but it still provides at least as much
relief.

For me the absence of sexual side effects is a huge advantage. It
works at least for the obstructive symptoms but I'm considering adding
Enablex for the irritative ones.

The use if Flomax is a scandal that reveals the abysmal state 0if
contermpoirary medicine, It destroys your sexuality, either through
retrograde ejaculation or through anejaculation -- loss of
ejeaculation. Learned doctors prescribe this and tell you, "small price
to pay, dude.' Dude decides, "small price to pay. "But the swirch to
Uroxatral, which is chemically similar but does not produce this
effect, and will bring back your sexuality. Your life is in your own
hands. Scream at the doctor when he calls a drung the "gold standard."
