My bladder has suddenly become overactive.
The urologist gave me Detrol samples to try.
Anyone had experience with it?

It's another of ANTICHOLINERGIC drugs, which tend to calm down the
overactive bladder sphincters and give you time to urinate
voluntarily.
Unfortunately, with me, it's primary side effect is constipation (I
have Irritable Bowel Syndrome). So taking ONE pill which lasts 4-6
hrs, forces me to take Laxatives to get my bowels regular again, plus
overcome urethral pain, which can be up to 2 days and quite
exhausting! :((
I'm currently going another path with Tramadol 150 @ 1/day, which is
not so severe.
However, your reaction may be different.
OTOH, If the condition becomes chronic, you may need some further
consults with your Uro to further address the problem.

I did not take any of the Detrol.
By coincidence, I had a tooth extracted (not infected) and the
dentist gave me an anti-biotic prescription (standard precaution).
My bladder is now ok. Obviously I had a bacterial bladder infection.
My urologist will hear some harsh words on my next visit.
