Thanks to all who responded to my earlier post
(http://tinyurl.com/hb7xa) headed "medication or surgery". From what I
read here, PVP seems to be the treatment of choice for BPH.

Can anyone recommend a particularly skilled urologist in the Mid-Hudson
Valley, in or near in Orange County, New York? The three that I've seen
focused discussion of potential surgeries on TURP, TUNA, and Indigo
Laser.

Last night I came across this website:
http://davidschwalb.empowereddoctor.com which mentions PVP as a
specialty. I've never heard of Dr. David Schwalb, despite the fact that
I've lived in this area for a significant period of time. Has anyone
here had any experience with him?

Any other suggestions? Feel free to e-mail me off-list if you prefer
not to discuss particular MDs in public.

Many thanks.

Hey mountainguy, don't let a drive, ride, or fly prevent you from
getting a top notch PVP doc. or settle for a secondary treatment.  You
are doing this for the rest of your life. I can't help you in your
area; there is Dr. Te in NYC.  Good luck, Joe.

That's a good point.

I've seen Dr. Te mentioned elsewhere in this ng. Can you or anyone
point me to his website or give me a bit more of a name to go on in a
Google search?

Thanks.

New York Presbyterian Hospital, where Dr. te operates,  has a deal with a
nearby hotel for very favorable NYC rates for people and families using the
hospital. Jim W.
