Those contemplating PVP for bph should consider waiting until their uro
has access to the new and improved equipment.  Laserscope recently
announced that they made various enhancements to the PVP equipment
which should make for better outcomes.   It will also be more expensive
for hospitals to purchase, so there may be a delay in availability.

They just recently started marketing a higher power, 120 watt system.

See Dr. Sancha's blog for May 19.

Now they say they have a totally new High Power Green Light HPS system
using 160 watt laser.

Should be more important to those with very large prostates.
