I've had BPH for many years. My symptoms are getting to the point that I'm
considering Green light PVP. Any uros recommended in the Tampa-Sarasota area
for this procedure?

I'm not sure about Tampa/St. Pete, but I'm lucky enough to live in St.
Augustine with one of the finest practitioners in the area, as noted by
others on this group:  Dr Wen Lin, 3100 US I South, St Aug, 904-797-2921.
Men have come from as far away as Australia to have him do their PVP.  (He
did mine in Dec 04--and a man from St Pete was there for the same procedure
at the same time--with no problems other than a bit of scar tissue since.)
He might be worth your trip.  You can check him out at

Looking at Laserscope I see there are quite a few in the area:

http://www.laserscope.com/surgical/index.html

That is how I picked mine.

Three listed for Bay Area Urological Associates, Inc. in Brandon.  The
problem is to try to find one that has performed a lot of them.

Laserscope often has seminars in various areas.  Register with them and
they will notify you.  Unfortunately they notified me of a seminar just
a few days before my scheduled PVP (next Tuesday).  And the seminar was
conducted by the URO I had selected!

Mine had only performed about 50 when I first contacted him over a year
ago.  Now he has done perhaps a couple hundred.
