Pat,
My uro is Dr. Edmunds, Columbia, SC. He's done about 40 PVP's, so he's
short of the 100 procedure rule-of-thumb, but I recommend him highly.
He's communicative and believes in aggressive tissue removal, which
seems to lead to more lasting results, according to many posts on this
group. He told me to ignore claims of 20% retro and just to expect to
have retro. Oddly, I don't, which makes me worry if he took enough
tissue from the bladder neck to insure long lasting results. Anyway,
so far, so good. After three weeks, great stream, little discomfort,
except for some urgency. I'm off Hytrin, and off the Flonase I had to
take because of the Hytrin. Peeing like a teenager and reduced meds to
boot. What's not to like? Oh, the bill. More on that later.
