In case there are pilots out there, I thought there might be interest in
the information I compiled about the overactive bladder medications.
I have had a chance to review the literature on Enablex. The medication
has anticholinergic properties (including blurred vision) and it a
disqualifier for my Third Class Medical Certificate with the FAA. I
have looked at other overactive bladder medications including VESIcare,
Oxytrol, Ditropan XL, and Sanctura and they are all disqualifiers for
FAA licensure. The Detrol LA is approved, but the side effects (dry
pasty metallic taste in the mouth) seem to outweigh the benefits in the
5-6 week trial that I took it.
I am going to "wing it" without any overactive bladder meds.

Part of my standard flight gear is a plastic jug, technically known as a
HERE bottle (that's Human Element Range Extender).
