I am just curious...why when there are specific groups for prostate
cancer do people post prostate cancer issues on this BPH group?

Most seem to post to   alt.support.cancer.prostate

There is also a sci.med.prostate.cancer

but it doesn't seem to get the traffic that the other one gets.

Maybe, like me, they have BPH plus Prostate Cancer.

In truth, I have 16 ailments ranging from Urinary Retention down to
Conjunctivitis, plus possibly some I don't even know about  ;(

I would be happy to post in a ng that covered them all LOL.

hi donny - i started out in the prostatitis group as well as the BPH
group, then had prostate cancer.

the answer to your question is a question.

at what point does BPH symptoms turn into PCa symptoms?

both conditions use the psa test and the DRE to establish what is going
on.

because the symptoms are so closely alike, the individual has to be
aware of both conditions, because one condition will just aggravate him
and make his life miserable, while the other condition will take his
life from him.
