Caution about Prostatitis NG

Pete - 05 Feb 2006 20:49 GMT I just noticed that a couple of you were in the prostatitis ng. It used to be a good group back in 1997 but now is almost extinct (like I have said in here before, but I'm sure you don't remember).
There is a troll in there who goes by fatty mawsom, mo, bbgator, testclez md, fatballs gamalls, and a whole lot of other names (over a dozen - he has even called himself dr. carlos sanchez), and he has ruined the group and is giving people bullshit bogus advice that could endanger their health.
I know that you are all to smart for that, but it is a shame that some people aren't, and they actually thank him for his comments which are off the wall bullshit. I have learned a lot about prostatitis over the years and would like to try and offer some assistance in the group, but I had to quit because of the troll flamming me (I just read now). He is a real a.shole, and a sick person, and if he ever gets in here we are screwed.
Thought you would like to know...Pete

========== hi pete - i second what you said. i was in that newsgroup back in 1995 and it had about 300+ posts and had some good folks and good information. then, as you said, a handful of trolls just seem to hell bent on running people off from the newsgroup.
it's one of those things that you wish that fatty mawsom gets a real bad case of prostatitis himself and then maybe, he can try some of his own medicine, or if he develops prostate cancer, then he can come to MY world. we have NO room for trolls and have them for dinner. they're great, taste a little salty, but we do chew them up. we have the attitude that we are upset with our condition and why not use these trolls are punching bags. hell, they come to the newsgroup trying to stir things up. well, why not kick the sh.t out of them and get rid of your frustrations at the same time?
just like here, there are a lot of men who are from all walks of life. some of doctors, lawyers, investigators, police officers, federal agents, computer wizards and etc. what these trolls don't understand, is that might start something, but ending up biting off more than they can chew. i was amazed as to what some of the posters have found out about these trolls. it seems that the trolls don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot. one could say that it leaves a bad taste in their mouth. :)

Pete - 06 Feb 2006 19:44 GMT > From: pete@nospam.net (Pete) > [quoted text clipped - 39 lines] > shoe is on the other foot. one could say that it leaves a bad taste > in their mouth. :) The problem is Curtis, they are too ignorant and "sick mentally" to stop trolling and flamming, and if you try to counter them, they just get worse. You can't eat them up and spit them out (like you say), so you have to leave the group (or just read only). Plonking them doesn't help, because they will flame your comments (even though you may not see them) and some other person in the thread will see it and you will be worse off yet, because you won't know what kind of sh.t the bastard was saying about you to the other person, etc. It's vicious, and there is no answer, as I see it.
I would like to tell the new posters in the prostatitis ng not to pay attention to the a.shole (I did once), but then he will just start a whole bunch of flamming and silly a.s childish posts. Go look at them (eg, piss pot pete, etc).
What do you mean by trolls may end up biting off more than they can chew. I don't see how. They will never stop and only get worse. Sorry, I am rambling again...Pete

hi pete - that's what we use to do at the prostate cancer newsgroup too - leave them alone. and i said the same thing i did here. have fun with them. and we have. it's not one, but a group effort and we have a blast with these idiots. oh, they can try to make posts back, but when you have everyone down on them kicking the crap out of them, it's so much fun. you are pissed off because you have cancer, you are peeing on yourself, impotent, worried about the recurrence of the cancer, depressed and mad as hell - all of the same time - so here's a post that comes into the newsgroup to play - so to speak.
for example --------
one of the posters has a post here. it is $208 Million Magazine Project www.israel-fagbemi.com
two months ago, he was advertising about sending him 5.00 dollars are making 80,000.
well, he tried to get into a pissing contest and actually started to try to defend himself the more he tried, the more fun we had.
some of the members of our group are in the "legal area" shall we say and posted all his crimes, the public court records, the action taken against him and where he was living while in the u.s. he is operating in canada now. the more he posted the more we dug into his backyard. seems like trolls don't like you knowing what server they are on, what their address and phone are, what country they are living in. etc.
well, anyway, this troll got so, stupid, said to call him and tell him what we were saying so he could sue us. one poster said the troll to call him and posted his phone number. it was to a certain office at the law enforcement where he works. the troll never called and stop posting.
it takes our mind off of our problems and gives us something to do - if that makes sense.
but some of the posters just do mass postings and never respond. we still use them at target boards. if you try it, you can have a blast.
i've seen trolls try to fill the newsgroup band space, with stupid messages just to eat up the bandwidth. in this particular case, the troll was using a webtv. not too cool because they are very limited on what they can do. they can't do remailing so, that one was an easy one. the people reclaimed their newsgroup again.
my prediction of the prostatitis newsgroup is that he is going to get tired of talking to himself in the mirror and leave. then the newsgroup will continue again.
men will still have prostatitis and they will come there for support and to share information - minus fatty mawsom.
or..........one of those posters that fatty mawsom gets into with just might have the power to pull his plug. it's a chance that trolls take.
i look at it like a double edge sword. it cuts both ways. :))

No way Curtis...Your example you gave was comparing apples and oranges. This guy has been in there for years and is a menace and gives people bad medical advice and if you blast him, he just comes back with more. I don't think you understand (go read his posts). There are different kinds of trolls I guess, and perhaps we have a different view of what a troll is. Some trolls use foul language all the time incessently. It varies depending on what there degree of mental illness is - lol. And I'm certainly not going to waste my time battling back and forth with someone who is mentally ill. It could go on forever. No need to respond any more...Pete

========== hi pete - you are probably right - i'm comparing spammers and trolls....... and there is a definite difference.
but even with trolls, they might enjoy the hate and foul language they belch out for the shock factor and it may pacify them for a little bit.
some where, a sharp computer savvy person comes along and maybe a person who makes his living tracing back messages for the gov't on his day job - just happens to have prostatitis show up at the newsgroup, and can trace things back and make their life as rough as what they were dishing out. i'm sure that for every troll, there just the opposite. a person who enjoys the act of catching the troll.
it's not my cup of tea, as i already said, we have fun with the spammers in our own little way. that was the purpose of what my posting the message here.
maybe it won't work here, but it does in the other newsgroup and so far, it's been good therapy for all of the members.

Barry - 08 Feb 2006 19:56 GMT Hi guys, it is too bad about the trolls on the prostatitis ng. I have been watching the ng for sometime know and yes your right, a lot of bs that doesn't seem to make much sense. Prostatitis is a serious condition and for those of us who suffer from the non bacterial kind, we seem to have no real solid treatment options. Then you have these bums who come along and claim to have the miracle cure, when they don't have a clue.

The government hackers have to worry about more important matters than trolls. I was afraid to type what I just wanted to for fear that they may be spying on us :-) .
