I think the introduction of PVP in France has been rather slow because
the national health service decided to perform a clinical study before
accepting this procedure for its general use in the country. I have
been told it was carried out in one center, and that soon they will
have their results and this will involve the wider acceptance of the
procedure. It is maybe L'Hopital Tenon. I do not know Dr. Traxer
personally, but it should not be very difficult to find him in Paris.

In the U.K. NICE performed a clinical study and showed Laserscope PVP as a
more than viable alternative to TURP. Still not much sign of Local Health
Authorites heeding the advice.
