The laserscope site seems to imply only 2 Uros in australia use the PVP
proceedure both down south.

Any1 in Brisbane Australia know of a uro who uses this proceedure closer?

Best to email laserscope.  I know one doctor using their equipment for over
6 months and still are not listed on their site.

Laserscope says 2 in Sydney 2 in Melbourne and 1 in Newscastle. they never
mentioned Toowoomba.

Fun hope my flomax holds out till they get it here and the uro skilled in
its use

This is part of a post from an Aussie patient earlier this year who had the
Gyrus Laser version in Queensland.
Derek.

My Gyrus was done in the Ipswich General here in OZ by Dr Teng who said he
had taken quite a bit of the prostate out. Nice guy.
If anyone is interested I'll keep you up to date.
TV report recently said St Vincent's (sp) (Melbourne?) is doing PVP

My research made me think that Gyrus PK is even better than Laserscope PVP.
Unfortunately they were not very helpful in pointing me in the direction of
UK hospitals doing it apart from one with a twelve month waiting list.

I have been told that Gyrus is TURP with different tools and that PVP
is still superior.  Check Dr Sanchez postings on this site he is
leading PVP doc in Spain with over 300 and he told me that he would
have PVP done to himself.
