I had a TURP performed 2 1/2 months ago. The bleeding and pain has stopped a
few weeks after the surgery. The anticipated benefits from this has yet to
occur. The only noticeable change has been a more severe urgency then prior
to the TURP. I am scheduled for a cystoscopy to try to find out why. Any
comments?

Ben,

I know I am late responding to your post.  I had a TURP a little more than a
year ago.  Immediately after the surgery my urine stream improved.  I was
barely able to urinate before the surgery.  I did have some occasional
frequency for the first few weeks, especially at night.  And it took several
months before everything completely settled down.  Now I get up once at
night (instead of 3 or 4 times prior to surgery) and I can go several hours
(4-6) in the day without urinating.  I am very happy that I had the surgery.
I hope your outcome is similar.

Phil
