This was an unanswered question on another NG. I pass it on here as I have
been taking Proton Pump Inhibitors for about five years.

"Has anyone had any prostate probs taking this drug? Apparently it is
supposed to aggravate the prostate and I have an enlarged one. Been taking
Losec (Omeprazole) for about 12 years due to terrible gastric reflux"

Been taking it myself. I have lots of problems without it so I wouldn't know
whether there are less problems in the prostate for NOT taking it. I don't
know that I would want to find out. What I had before Losec was making it
really hard to be out in public after a crap. I walked like I had pins in my
anus for hours after and nothing changed that.
