I had a PVP/TURP 2 years ago. It took 6 weeks to heal. No blood since, until
Saturday.
I urinated very dark blood. A couple of cups. and then again in a couple of
hours.
My urine went clear later on Saturday.
Sunday some bright red blood and some bright red clotts.
The blood came at the start of urination to make me think it came from the
prostate.
Clear urine on MOnday and Tuesday.

My uro has me on antibiotics, renal ultra sound and will do a cystacope next
week.

Anybody ever hear about old blood from a long ago operation?

Thanks
Tom

I had bleeding & blood clots for at least a few days about 9 or 10 months
after my 1st PVP. Might have been related to a DRE the day before it
started.

I had the exact same reaction about 6 months after each of my TURPs.
About a year ago (3 years after my second TURP), I experienced the
same and it has continued on and off every few months since. Spent
three days in the hospital three weeks ago because it did not stop
as it normally did. Antibiotics seemed to do the trick. I am getting a
cystoscope this afternoon (can't wait). I wish I could get a
reasonable explanation as to why this happens. My urologist just
kind of shrugs.

Similar thing happened to me 18 month post PVP.  Uro says he seen this
after PVP.
Tissue continues to slough off and causes temporary bleeding.  He did a
cystoscope and saw a raw area which caused the bleeding. It shouldn't
be a problem, but any urinary bleeding need to be investigated.
