I decided it is time to do another update on my 150 gram prostate done Jan
12th 05 with the PVP Laser.

On April 28 I passed what appeared to be a scab the size of a finger nail.
No blood just a scab.  The previous two days I had started to ride by
bicycle, with the Dr's permission and a prostate friendly seat.  Not far
just an easy short distance.

On April 29th at 5 PM I relieved myself and was greeted with almost pure
blood and a big clot.  It had been about seven weeks since the last episode
of bleeding and I thought I was out of the woods with this problem.

This time I did manage to stay out of the ER by going every half hour and
drinking water each trip.  I set a timer and got up every half hour all
night.  I went to the bathroom, passed a clot, and drank water.  Some of the
clots could have filled a teaspoon they were so large.  By about 4:30 AM I
was so tired, from not having slept all night, I did not hear the timer and
slept till 6:30 AM.   I got up and could still go but no clot.  During the
course of Saturday morning my urine cleared up and things went back to
normal.

At this point in time I can hold more and get rid of more urine than I ever
did before.  When the catheter was removed from last clotting episode about
7 weeks ago I was told I had some retention.  I hope to have that checked
again the end of May.

A real positive thing is that there appears to be no retrograde
ejaculation!!  It all seems to come out.

Hello Bill,

Your Experiences almost exactly mirror mine last year. See my post
"Follow-up August PVP" of 29 Jauary 2005. No more problems since
then, but no increase in bladder volume. I consider myself lucky, and
still have good flow. I drink anything I like, when I like just have to
pee frequently when I drink a lot. I have been like that all my life !

What I don't have to do anymore is stand interminably at the toilet
dribbling away, which ultimately ended in complete retention.

PVP does not fix the bladder.

best wishes  Richie
