Now one month since my PVP by Dr. Robert Reiter at UCLA.  Had my first
post-op checkup, and Dr. Reiter was pleased with my status.  Excellent flow
rate (he said that it was better than that of his young son!).  Urgency just
before urination is gradually diminishing, as is frequency of urination
during the day.  No evidence of blood in urine, and I seem to be past the
'clotting' and 'scab passing' stage.  Dr. Reiter advised that my nocturia
should improve over time, which seems to 'track' with the advise of previous
posters on this board.

Overall, so far, so good!

Mr. B, how long did it take you to see Reiter?  He would have been my
first choice, except that I wanted done to travel on the 20th of April,
and I didn't think he would fit it in.  I had mine done seven and a
half weeks ago by Dr. Laub in Santa Barbara, and I don't know why I
waited so long.  Why did you pick Reiter?  Zigzag

Zigzag,

It did take quite a while to get my first appointment with him.  And after
seeing him, it took another two months before he was available for the
surgery.

I chose him because UCLA is located close to my home, but more importantly
because he has an EXCELLENT reputation (as does Dr. Laub).  It sounds like
you had a good result from Dr. Laub as well, so I guess we're both happy
with our choices!
