Received info on Thermatrx. Has anyone had this procedure and what were
your results. Good or bad? Please let me know, I am considering but would
like to hear from others. Let me hear the good and bad.
Thanks,
John

I had that procedure about two years ago after failure of a Prostatron
teatment. I am giving up on TUMT.
Both times there was initial improvement. I am now able to voida maximum of
350 mL maybe 400 compared to 600 in my relative youth. When it gets bad
enough, I will try PVP.

Had the ThermatRX procedure 2 years ago. Somewhat uncomfortable, but not
bad during the tumt. Had to wear a catheter for 5 days and did not like
it at all! There was some improvement but it did not last and I
recently had PVP. Based on my experience I would suggest PVP and skip
the ThermatRX and all other tumt procedures. They do not last according
to all the posts I have read here.

I had PVP seven weeks ago and I can't say enough about it. I had
immediate results very minor discomfort, no catheter, and my doc said
to redos after doing over 140 cases. Zigzag

th
procedure was no big deal. About b1\2 hour, and I was doped up prett
good. Had a catheter for a few days. Other than it not working. ther
were no problems or side effects

John, I had Thermatrx DOT last June and had ZERO results by Dr. W at NJ. I
am heading for PVP now. Hope can do it in months after some checkups. Good
luck that you ask for advise first. Pat

Had Prostatron 2.5 which is a microwave therapy July 23, 2004. Had some
initial improvement in flow for a couple months, but it only did half of
the job and had to have PVP Feb 23, 2005 to finish the job. Knowing
what I know now I would not do the TUMT and go directly to the PVP.
The only surprise in the PVP was the retro which still is active.
