Well my story is like this.  I've had urinary problems since the age of 14.
Just recently followed through with many tests and finally found the
problem.  My prostate is too tight.  I had the Urodynamic test done last
week and it took my nearly 10 minutes to finish urinating.  Even after that
I still had to go 2 times before leaving the urologist's office.  I've had
all the symptoms of BPH through my teens and into my 30's.  I'm 34 now.
I will be having the PVP Greenlight laser surgery this Friday the 29th of
April.
Only worry is retrograde ejaculation.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Would love to hear from anyone who is close to my age and has had this
procedure done. If anyone has any words of encouragement or information on
recovery I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks all!

Hi Eddie

I'm 65 so not quite into your age bracket; however I've had the PVP
'Niagra' (Laserscope)laser treatment 4yrs ago.  In fact I was one of
the first to have the treatment with the newer system.  I still think
it's the way to go; having tried the TUNA, too (horendous loss of
blood).

I do have retro-ejaculation as a result of PVR but all the rest remains
A/OK.

Hope all went well for you.

Ask your doctor how much work has to be done on your bladder neck.  I
believe your chances of getting retro are dependent on this.  Also
inform your doctor that you don't want to get retro if at all possible.
He might be able to be less aggressive in this area, sparing you
retro.

Well the surgery went fine.  I am at week 2 and I'm still bleeding.  This
was a concern for me but my doctor said it was perfectly normal.
About the retro-grade ejaculation, I do have it.  Have ejaculated once
after surger but it was very, very little.  Didn't ejaculate today at all.
Does anyone now if in time it comes back just a little?
I'm hoping that it does come back a bit like it did to the guy that
answered my initial posting.
I am searching on line for information on regaining my ejaculate but
haven't found much info.

Aren't you rushing it?  I thought most recommendations were to wait at least
a month before resuming sexual activity.

I totally agree.  I'm six-months post PVP.  I'd say it took a good 4-5
months before my 'sexual self' fully recovered.  At six-months I feel
'really good' again.  Sexual intensity has steadily increased.  Still have
100% retro - but, the intensity is such that - it doesn't bother me in the
least.  I will say - it has taken nearly all these six-months to reach a
plateau where I can make that statement.

So, at two-weeks - you got a long way to go [in terms of sexual recovery] -
IMO.
