I have been taking Flomax for about 1 year and now my URO wants me to try
Uroxatral.
Any one know about Uroxatral?
Possible problems on the bottle look scary.

If you have been on Flomax for a year its time to get PVP done

The longer you delay the more damage thats done to the bladder and the
greater the risks of retro etc

Am going for PVP as soon as some one around here does it.

Flomax gave me retrograde ejaculation and slightly stuffy nose.  Uroxatral
did not.  Neither helped me much but that's another story.

Hi...I was on Uroxatral from May 04 to Feb 05.  Developed urinary
retention after visit to Ear, Nose Throat Doc who sprayed Afrin nose
spray into my nasal passages to diagnose a deviated septum.  I had no
retro with Uroxatral or stuffy nose.  Was more tired, irritable and
depressed while on it.  I associate lower back pain with continuing use
of Uroxatral.  Was glad to get off it after a TUMT July 04 and a PVP Feb
05.  I feel so much more alive, less tired or irritable.  No lower back
pain!  I have never been on Flomax which I understand can cause retro.

Yes i have had retro. The Flomax is now not working as good as it did
before, time to find a
PVP doctor.

I am on Uroxatrol. Doesn't help my nocturia much, but better stream.
think it make me a little more fatigued, than usual. I am looking int
PVP. Flomax made me hyper strangely enough

I am on neither drug now, though I used to take Flomax for 7 years. It made
me hyper too, ROBO, though like you, it certainly helped my stream.

However, when I moved this year I also changed uros. My current uro did a
few tests and informed me that despite the fact Flomax was working, I was
still accumulating bladder damage. Damage caused by the bladder detruser
musle overworking by pushing against an enlarged prostate. He suggested an
operation and I agreed. I am so glad that I am no longer taking Flomax.

By the way, there was a physician's advisary released in Jan 2004 that
Flomax can cause "floppy iris syndrome" though this only seems to be a
problem during eye operations.

Flomax really caused me all kinds of problems.  I went looking for PVP.  The
Urologist talked me into trying Targis TUMT first.  It is supposed to be the
least invasive and often the one most likely not to give results.  It takes
about six weeks to see results but I began to note a significant difference
at two weeks.  Flow is good and I had absolutely no secondary problems.
Probably the most uncomfortable procedure because you are wide awake for the
whole thing.

Maybe next time I will go PVP but must admit I might try TUMT again when the
time comes.

I took Uroxatrol for about a year. L likes it better than flomax. Les
side effects, but everyone is different. You have to see for yourself
Recently had pvp now off all
