Hi all,

My father has a relatively large prostate and has been self-catheterizing
off an on due to urinary retention problems for the past 6 weeks.

It took me almost a full day to find any message board on prostate
problems, and i am really happy i just found one.  First question is are
there any other good message boards?

My father wants to get his problem taken care of kind of fast.  He is
shying away from turp because of the side effects, and would like to try
less invasive although his symptoms might warrant a more aggressive
approach.

We are in Philadelphia area if anyone knows of a skilled doc.  From reading
some posts, I am assuming since the greenlight pvp is the majority choice
for most.  For those of you who have spent more time researching, is this
what most would recommend?

It seems retrograde ejaculation is the worst side effect?  What percentage
would you say have this complication as permanent?

Thank you very much in advance for any responses.

I know that there's an experienced PVP guy in Phili area. Can't remember his
name. Murphy or some other Irish name.

Dr Malloy - he has been on the Laserscope website for at least 2 years -
and I think he may have been among the first to use PVP - but oddly
I have never seen a post here from anyone that has gone to him.

Thanks Al,
It was Malloy.
I spoke to someone once who was very happy with him - as a surgeon & as a
human being.
