Pain before urination

I have extreme pain before urination. After urination starts, the pain
subsides. I have had PVP about 2 months ago, but the pain existed before
that. The PVP was successful and I had no problems with it. My urologist
checked for infections, performed a cystoscopy, ultrasound, UroDynamics,
and some other scans but all appeared normal. I had biofeedback therapy
without improvement although my pelvic floor muscles appeared to work okay.
Any one else have a similar problem?

Hi Mark,
I, too, am having this pain just at the start of urination.
Also, at the end of it, if I push to empty some more.
It started about two months after PVP; it was not there
before PVP. But, sometimes (maybe 20%) I do not have this pain.
I, also, would like to hear from others with similar problems.

Andy
