Today I traveled 260  miles round trip to visit Dr. Vincent Cubelli, in
Denville, NJ.    He answered all my questions but we did seem to develop
that spark that would make for a good doctor patient relationship.  Although
he is listed on the Laserscope website, he did not seem as enthusiantic
about the PVP as I had hoped.  He had done 50 PVP procedures over a one year
period and I wonder how that compares with other docs used guys in the
newsgroup.   He also  wanted to leave in the catheter for two days after the
procedure,  and it had to be taken out by him or a visiting nurse.    Seems
like most guys had them in for, at most, 24 hours, and some were   allowed
to remove it themselves.

Since my health plan will not pay for the procedure, I am now planning on
having the cysto, rectal, and bladder tests done locally and then take them
with me to then next doctor and hopefully I can click with him and then set
up a surgery appointment.

My doc had done 140+.  I had a great procedure in at five a.m., out at
two p.m., peeing like a 21 yr old at eight p.m., no catheter, no
complications.  Had some stinging until drug took affect.  It has been
four weeks and it is wonderful to get a full night's sleep. zigzag

Pat, my urologist is David Laub, M.D. in Santa Barbara, California.  He
has outstanding experience, honest, and I think progressive.  He has a
website for you to look at.  I hope you can use him.  Joe

If you live in northern New Jersey you have one of the best close by.  Dr.
Te at Cornell Presbyterian Medical Center on the east side in the 60's I
believe, in Manhattan, NY.

Jack, ZigZag, Thank you for infomation.  I do find out Dr. Te is at 68th
Street, NY.  He is not within my UnitedHealthCare doctor list.  How much do
your doctor charge you?

Regards,
Pat

Dr. Te is in the network of Unitedhealthcare.  Forget about my question.
