Web searches seem to suggest that zinc sulfate may
help allieviate BPH symptoms. My own very brief and un-intentional
experience with it about a year ago was good. I finally put it all together
yesterday, that it may have been the zinc sulfate, and am wondering if
anyone else has achieved such positive results? I re-ordered this
suppliment yesterday, in hopes that this was what helped. Any comments
welcome.

I've added the response from Bayer, regarding
my inquiry on one-a-day vitamin changes made.

Dear Mr. E:
Thank you for taking the time to contact
Bayer HealthCare. We appreciate your
interest in ONE-A-DAY (r) Maximum
Multivitamin Supplement.
The following changes were made:
1988: Beta-Carotene was added to the formula.
1998: One-A-Day Maximum reformulated to include
trace minerals such as Tin, Vanadium, Nickel,
Boron, etc.
July 2002: One-A-Day Maximum Vitamin K
temporarily removed from Supplement Facts Box.
Due to manufacturing issues, the level of
Vitamin K had been reduced to a level that
did not necessitate appearance in the
Supplement Facts Box.
June 2003: One-A-Day Maximum now with 25mcg
of Vitamin K. Changed the Zinc Sulfate to
Zinc Oxide for manufacturing purposes. Both
provide elemental Zinc. Changed Magnesium
Hydroxide to Magnesium Oxide.
June 2003: Reduced Vitamin A to be inline with
learning's that more than 5,000 IU of Vitamin
A per day can be detrimental to bone health.
While the current data only supports this
learning with post-menopausal women, we decided
to proactively reduce the Vitamin A to ere on
the side of caution & for consistency
(in line with new DRIs).
If I may be of further assistance, please
feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,

Zinc Sulfate also successful in treating "VIRAL" warts, nearly 90% success.
I've heard that tagamet also works well for warts.
20 of 23 patients (86.9%) had complete disappearance of warts after 2
months, and 14 (60.9%) had complete disappearance of warts after 1 month.

I thought that Zinc was SUPPOSED TO BE helpful when I suffered with my BPH
(pre-PVP days). I stopped taking it for 2 reasons--the POTENTIAL serious
negative studies when >50Mg total daily from food + supplement, and a
perceived "rebound effect". Back in those days, I took as much as 150 mg
and found absolutely no positive effects, in fact, just the opposite. I
started to experience negative effects to MY BPH symptoms. I am guessing
that in MY PARTICULAR case I suffered a zinc rebound effect of some sort.
Also Check out Selenium. Reportedly similar positive effects with
reportedly less risk. Wishing you all the best.
