I am 6 days post-op from PVP in Jax, Fl. I had a catheter for 48 hours
instead of the usual 24 hours, however, it has now been 6 days and I still
cannot urinate except very little. I do not have the frequent urge to go as
everyone mentions. Actually, I am worse at this point that I was before the
surgery without taking Flomax and Proscar. I am due for a follow up with my
surgeon in 2 weeks. Is something wrong with my procedure or is this normal.
Any suggestions?

I am 10 days post-op PVP. I had improved flow within 24 hours and it
continues.
You might want to contact doctor and not wait two weeks for next visit.

Not a good idea to fool around with acute retention. I'd go to the emergency
room......sooner rather than later.

It is day 8 and the flow has gotten a little bit better. A least it is not
restrricted anymore. Due for followup visit on 3/16.

Go to the Emergency Room, do NOT wait
