After many years of BPH, I will have my PVP on next Wednesday. I am 68,
50 grams, had a Thermatrx procedure 3 years ago. It helped, but now it
is time to get a real fix. I have researched all sorts of procedures,
and selected a Dr. who has done 26 PVP procedures. (Dr. Maggio, Orange, CA)
This group has done a great job informing and supporting guys for many
years, and I thank all of you..

Best Wishes to you Bob for a nice clean procedure and excellent results.
Be patient for the first couple of weeks post op, as the body heals.

Hi Bob:
Having just gone through PVP 2/23/05, my advice if you are having
general anesthesia is to talk to your URO and anesthesiologist about
measures to take to get the GI system back on line ASAP. I failed to do
that and had severe low belly gas pains for a couple of days that were
worse than the aftermath of the PVP procedure itself. I took stool
softeners and finally resorted to MOM to get things moving. Once that
system was working, food again appealed and recovery seemed well on its
way. I am 8 days post PVP and with the exception of frequency/urgency
issues, things are progressing nicely. I am 61 who had Prostatron 2.5
