I had a sonogram of the prostate last month to measure any shrinkage
from Adovart. And lo! it had shrunk by about 25 percent. So it works. I
am taking Flomax as well. Dr. Te says that the two work together in the
shrinking process. Go for it, John.

That's very good news! Maybe you or somebody else can answer this
question for me:
What to do after obtaining the maximum result, say after a year or so.
Does that means that you can stop the medication and that the prostate
starts its natural growth again, as it did before using Avodart?
Or will there be an accelerated growth until the prostate has its
original bigger size again?

I'd be alert to any other side effects.
Particularly, watch for premature ejaculation
and erectile quality.

I have been having a problem with BPH for a long time. My Urologist suggested
that surgery to reduce the size of the prostate was needed. I cannot go
under anesthesia for any surgery due to my heart condition .
Is Avodart safe for someone like me?
