Hello,
I'm going into my 1st year of Pharmacy this September here in Canada. I'm
really leaning towards hospital pharmacy but many people tell me that
practicing in a retail setting is much better. Can anyone verify this based
on experience?

Thanx

You will find that there is no simple answer... I worked 3-4 years in
Hospital after I became registered in the mid 60's and switched to
retail because retail paid a lot more...and it sure was not as boring as
Hospital work...

However Retail honestly does not offer you much of an intelletual
chalange..the work hours are worst and you have to interact with the
general public (for me that was a plus)

I am now retired and all that I can say if that I "personally" made the
correct decision 30+ years ago...  Your situation, personallity, and
needs may differ

You'll find out on your own soon enough during your training. :-)
