I know it helped me, it makes my bones "feel good" and I feel
like stretching and walking.

If the government is not going to distribute their "corprorate
pharmaceuticals" at a price the "people" can afford , then they
at least should allow people to take care of themselves.

Otherwise it appears that the pharmaceutical industry is running
an "extortion racket".

Here Here!!

I've suffered from arthritis since the age of sixteen, beginning with an
episode of bursitis in my left knee, and eventually working its way
everywhere else.. my hands are the most recently affected and its really
beginning to irk me, i'm not even thirty yet FFS!!  I smoke pot on a daily
basis, and when i don't, i feel like crap and can't get anything done.

Hi,

I know what you mean.

I've got a chronic medical condition that lets me legally get all sorts
of addictive drugs... from soma and tramadol to methadone.

but weed... NOOOOOO.... I got raided for 6 plants in my backyard.. I'm
almost 50, just wanted/needed a little non-addictive pain relief.

the government would rather have me doing methadone every day.

Hi,

it was a total cluster f.ck.

raid was in august.

not arrested.

came back next day with the inventory of what they confiscated.

not arrested... told me grand jury would be in october.

october comes and goes... not arrested.

november got a cheapo last minute deal to amsterdam so the fiance and I
spent a 4 day weekend in amsterdam... no problems.

supposedly got indicted in december.

but they didn't come and get me (same house, listed phone number),
didn't mail me, nothing.

we (fiance, mother, 2 kids, brother and sister in law) go to jamaica to
get married in july (got married on father's day)... coming back I hit
customs and they arrest me... for being "a fugitive without warrant" (if
there's no warrant how can I be a fugitive)... they hold me for 3 days
before setting bond, 35,000$, it's posted within an hour,... they keep
me another 23 hours...

all the while denying me medical care.

then release me... 90 days later the city drops those charges...

the county I live in (right across the state line) sets an appearance
date, 5,000$ bond, posted within minutes (had lawyer and bondsman
there)... next day lawyer files for discovery... this was last august...
they still haven't responded...

so now it's been 19 months since the raid, still no discovery, still no
court date.

so I just counted out my drug supply for the weekend (I keep the
narcotics in a safe at work, we've got cameras outside the door, state
police for security, etc... oh btw... I work for the state medical
school!)...

so I counted out half a dozen benzos, some schedule II, and III,
narcotics (real narcotics, opiates), a schedule IV muscle relaxer plus
some ultram and soma...

after all that's SO much better than just having a couple of vicodin for
emergencies in the medicine cabinet and smoking a couple of homegrown
joints in the privacy of my bathroom (I don't do it in front of the
kids) 1 after work and 1 before bed...

Daymn Dude!  Can you sue anyone for all that sh.t?  I may not like
Kerry much but Bush is making this country into a police state.

Hi,

not really.

technically I can... and do a Robert Randall.. federally sue for access
to marijuana 'cause everything else is more hazardous... but I'll be
"under investigation" until the state of limitations expires probably.

and sometimes it's just better to "let it die quietly in the back of a
filecabinet because they don't want the department embarrased and you
don't want that neither... right?"

I'm a legally registered voter.

as it is I'm looking at some pretty serious surgery this summer and I'm
trying to get my opiate tolerance way DOWN (avoiding even the tramadol
if I can) despite the fact that I've got prescriptions for strong enough
stuff but I don't want to use it... even legally... cause I -know- I'm
going to want all the bang I can get out of whatever they give me for
pain THEN and as effective as possible... cause we call know that if
you're doing opiates daily you've got a tolerance you didn't when you
were clean even if you don't have real withdrawls.

a couple of percs just doesn't do it for you anymore.

as far as Bush/Kerry...

they're both jerkwads... they just tell different lies to a different
audience.

I'm a libertarian...
I want drugs AND guns!...
liberals just want drugs :-}

I also have several autoimmune diseases such as Lupus and Scleroderma, which
causes a lot of pain, and I get everything I need from my doctors.  I would
never use pot because it's illegal and I don't want any problems or even
cause problems for my doctor that gives me pain meds.

At the risk of being an ill informed quack, have you tried DMSO?
Try googling on it, plus the other conditions.
