I seem to have a problem in my right ear with ear wax.

At the moment i can hardly hear out of it at all - the doc says that i had
ear wax splattered on my ear drum and that warm olive oil should sort it...
it didnt.

I tried some normal ear drops but that hasnt worked, so now i have some Otex
ear drops that worked wonders when i had the problem before.

Now, ive done my first treatment and it doesnt seem to have done much
(although my ear is a bit squelchy now)

Can anyone suggest some good effective remediess?

A few years back during a check up at the Doctors office I had to have one
ear flushed out while I was there because the wax had bilt up so bad. I was
told at the time that doing that would be the only way to get it out since
it had bilt up so hard, and they did flush out a solid chunk when they did
it too. You may be at that point yourself, it whouldn't hurt to let the
Doctor do that one time if they haven't allready. Good luck.

Plug your nose and pop your ears 3 times per session, maybe 10
sessions per day.  Ever have a broken nose?

If you haven't seen a doctor yet, go get an ear wax removal kit at the local
grocery store, in the Rx area, by the OTC medicines, prolly by the ear
plugs---sorry can't really remember now. It should have a dropper-thing that
looks like a small turkey baster & comes with ear wax removal drops. Put
several drops in the ear that is causing trouble & tilt your head for 5- 10
minutes, by laying down on your side or just hopd your head sideways. Some
say you can just put cotton in the ear after you use the drops, but it's
important to not let the drops exit the ear for at least 5 minutes, so the
drops can "eat" up or dissolve or "break up" wax. Then, after 5-10 min. of
the drops in your ear, get some nice warm water from the tap (faucet) & fill
your sink up. Then get the "turkey baster" thing (usually blue, from my
experience)  & suck up the warm water & nice & easily blast the ear (with
the ear drops in it) with the warm water several times. Voila. You will now
see your nice chunks of lodged ear wax exit the ear. Take care now.
