Pharmacist "consults" - Too many!

I get a prescription filled, which I have had filled 10 times before, yet
each time I get it filled again, they tell me the pharmacist needs to "talk
to me" about it. And the pharmacist tells me the same things each time.

And while the pharmacist is talking to me, there is a long line of people
waiting for their prescriptions to be filled...

Seems to me the person taking payment for prescriptions could ask if you
have had that prescription before or this could be noted in the persons
records, then no need for the pharmacist to talk to each person about their
medications (if they have been "talked to" before). And thus there would be
a shorter line because the pharmacist would be filling prescriptions instead
of talking to people!

Next time you get your talking to, tape record it on a walkman type
thingy which has a speaker. The following time, get the recording out
and play it back while the pharmacist is talking to you. After a few
times they will give up.

This is probably a legal obligation on their part.

We have something similar in the UK for OTC preparations that might pose
a hazard, but the spiel is preceded by "have you used this medication
before?" and they don't go any further with it if the answer is "yes".
