I hear a lot of talk about herbal viagra, and see many ads for it on the
Internet.

Does anyone know of anything that you can buy as a dietary supplement (like
at a GNC) healthfood store that is similar to herbal viagra or supposedly
helps in that area?  I already asked my Doctor but he is of no help in that
area.

There are a variety of herbs and other supplements
that likelyh have some potential in those with "mild" impotence.

The amino acid arginine
The prohormone DHEA
Ginkgo bilboa
Pine bark extract
Sarsaparilla root
Zinc
Chrysin
Nettle

Weight loss
Giving up ethanol intake

This list is not complete.

A GP isn't going to known a damned thing
about herbs and alt remedies. The really sad
thing is that your GP won't likely known
how to treat the decline in testosterone and the rise
in estrogen and prolactin that
often results in the loss of libido and impotence
even with more orthodox methods.

You are in the wrong forum. Try alt.support.impotence.
Books to read are "The Testosterone Syndrome" by
Eugene Shippen, "Maximize Your Vitality and Potency"
by Wright and Lenard, and "Anabolic Therapy in
Modern Medicine" by Taylor. The best of these is
the first though the other two are very useful.

If you know a compounding pharmacist, he or
she would be a good source to talk to and might
even be able suggest a Doc who (provided he feels free
to talk) knows how to use testosterone gel.
Understand I'd try HCG and selegiline among other
things before I resorted to the hormone gel.

Still rising to the occasion.........
