Some antibiotics are said to "modulate" the immune system. What is meant
by this and what effect do most antibiotics have on rate of skin cancer
progression, such as squamous cell? IOW, is there any good data on what
effect antibiotics have vis-a-vis the immune system and it's role in
cancer? Thanks for any good answers.

1. Doxycycline, when I was in medical school, was being looked at as a
means of down regulating the over-activity of white blood cells in the
auto-immune disease world

2. None

3. No... except third world countries that don,t use antibiotics don,t
have large incidences of colon cancer, but maybe that's due to people
not living long enough to develop cancer.
