arthritis treatment

I have been prescribed  Ibruprophen x1 and Paracetamol x 2 twice daily by my
GP for pain relief of my arthritis.It works very well but I always thought
that you should not mix these type of pain tablets? I have tried everything
else but this is the best so far.Can you reassure me that it is ok..thank
you ....cas

I believe ibuprofen is less effective and less dangerous that asprin
or paracetamol.

It is does not affact the liver the way asprin and paracetamol does.
Therefore i believe it is very good for the people who are at the risk
of liver disease, the children and old citizens. May be that is why
you will see it the pediatric wards.

According to info on http://www.drugs.com/ibuprofen.html you should
also avoid taking iburofen if you are taking aspirin to prevent stroke
or heart attack. because they say it may make asprin less effective in
protecting your heart and blood vessels.
