I'm having terrible problems with GERD lately.

I had a flare up back in May.... got scoped.....
nothing big found but I'm not sure how far down that
scope goes the esophagus.

Lately I having tenderness and pain in the "V" part of
my chest bones.  If you push somewhat its very sore
there.. Actually feels like the bone is sore!!!

Can GERD cause such symptoms as well?  I also having
the classic symptoms of sore throat, raspy voice, etc.

I've increased my bed elevation a few more inches but
too early to tell if that will help

I'm taking Prilosec in the evenings.

I'm going to call my gastro doc and get back in to see
him but sure it will be a few weeks before I can.

Advice?  Opinions?

I'm 49..... fairly slim..... watch what I eat....all
the usual lifestyle changes!!

My question is whether or not daily use of lisinopril
and simvastatin can cause GERD?

Lisinopril controls my BP.... simvastatin is generic
Zocar. I take 10 mg lisinopril and 40mg simvastatin in
evenings abt 6pm.

One can never be sure over the internet, but it sounds like costochondritis.
