Maybe you have changed. Have you gone back to the old version?

I can't get the old version - the pharmacy says this present
generic is the one they are now getting from their warehouse
and they don't have any of the other one.

The active drug should be exactly the same, but there may be differences in
the binders, fillers, etc. and these can change the way the tablets dissolve
and thus are absorbed. These variations should be very minor. Remember
almost all generics must have the same bioavailability as the original
formulation.
If you have been taking a benzo for a year you probably have a depencence
and it may be that you have a tolarence and need to increase the dose to get
the same effect as you once did. Either try another pharmacy (that has the
old formulation) or check with the physician that prescribed it.

Maybe u can get the new drug analyzed. Maybe it is counterfeit.

I've been using this pharmacy for years and if the drug were
actually "counterfeit", they would have other complaints and
I trust they would have told me so. It seems to be
something about how my body reacts to the particular
binders, fillers etc.
I'm now taking the brand and it seems ok.

If a pharmacy were to get a batch of counterfeit drugs, and it does happen,
then the reporting to the pharmacy of a lessenned effect by a small group of
patients, and with possibly multiple pharmacists, is not well understood.
A famous case with a large batch of counterfeit erythropoeitin was only
found after one patient had a severe reaction to the counterfeit product,
and not from the multiple patients who did not get the desired increase in
red blood cells from the product.

there is nearly zero chance that the drugs are clinically different.

Ask your physician if you can increase the clonazapam dose to 2 mg or
whatever until it works the same. You may need a slight dosage adjustment.
Even each batch of Klonopin is slightly different from the previous one.
Drugs have a certain range in which they can vary and still meet the
requirements of the FDA. Are you certain that nothing has changed in your
life that might make you more anxious?
One of my kids takes clonazepam and he says he can tell the difference
between the generic supplied from the VA from those obtained at a local
pharmacy. I have better results or just the same from taking generic
Coumadin (Warfarin) 2 mg. than I did when I was taking the brand name.
