Maybe there's a reason for it, or maybe it's just a placebo effect but
anytime I take IBUPROFEN, in doses as little as 200-400mg... it "seems"
to have a calming and relaxing effect to me.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening?  Or....  is it just my
imagination.

Thanks in advance

For me, just to have pain relief, in and of itself is relaxing. Doesn't the
IBU help or completely remove your pain or else why are you taking it? Don't
knock any possible placebo effect.  It is just as real as any other type of
relief.

About 10-15 years ago I worked with a young ex-Marine.  He once remarked
that the medics gave out 800mg Ibuprofens quite freely, and that 800mg
of Ibuprofen would accentuate the effects of a beer.
