I just started taking Naproxen and getting severe stomach cramps. The
free Nurseline service said to see an urgent care clinic tomorrow
(they're closed tonight), and I don't think an emergency room is
warranted, but it really hurts. Any suggestions for relief until we go
to the clinic tomorrow morning? No other symptoms, and I can walk
around, but my stomach feels really cramped.

Naproxen is always with or after food as are all NSAIDS. So take them after
your meal or if you can't eat much then at least some milk. This avoids G.I.
(Gastro-Intestinal) upset.
The lowest dose that is effective also is important in avoiding side
effects.
So 250mg or therabouts instead of 500mg maybe effective in treating your
pain/ inflammation without the side effects.
If you already have stomach cramps I would try some food/milk if you can
tolerate it.
Cheers
