Hi all,

When exactly does the half life start to run on an
oral med.  When the pill breaks down in the stomach?
the liver? kidneys? blood?

at t(max): the timepoint at which the drug has its maximal plasma
concentration
this t(max) may differ per drug and/or dosage form
cave: in the concentration-time graph there may (after t(max)) first be a
distribution phase before the "real" elimination phase starts. This
elimination phase is the phase to which the half life is related.

hope this helps, rick
