Hi All

Years ago we used to make this stuff.  With the advent of commercial
products I have thrown our old formula away.  Now the commercial
products are all manufacture short in our area (West Coast Canada).

We made it with Chlorhexidine 20% solution and glycerin and water and
peppermint oil and ethyl alcohol????  I seem to remember that you
couldn't add the alcohol directly on the Chlorhexidine because product
would be cloudy (i.e. percipitated the chlorhexidine?)

Anyone?

I imagine you have already found your answer, or are able to get the
commercial products by now, but these may help...

Chlorhexidine 0.2% oral rinse. Int J Pharm Compound 2000 Mar/Apr;4(2):128.

Erickson MA III. Chlorhexidine oral rinse 0.12%, calculated to make 1000
mL. Pharm Times 2001 Aug;67(8):91.

as well as Paddock's Secundum Artem recipe for 0.15% in vol9, no3
