Liquid Paxil (Seroxat)

I recently got a prescription for the liquid form of my antidepressant,
Seroxat (called Paxil in the US). I used to take the pills but after
taking this medication (20 mg per day) for over 7 years I have decided
to quit, and I thought it would be easier to do so with the liquid.
Anyway, would it be ok for me to start reducing the dosage right away,
or should I give my body some time to get used to the liquid at the
usual dose?

I'd spend a few days at the standard "official" dose, just to see if
there's a difference, before tapering down. You have worked this out
with your doctor, haven't you? You shouldn't just up and quit on your
own.

Assuming you and your doctor are in sync, then you should taper very
slowly, over weeks. Paxil has a particularly nasty reputation for
withdrawal effects.
